I imagine that you probably have thousands of satisfied customers, as your testimonials reflect, but I want to "sing your praises", totally unsolicited.
I've been in the hobby for over 30 years. In searching for an Internet fish provider, I constantly ran across your site, only to dismiss it because "it seemed just too good to be true". Nobody sells salt water fish for under $10, and your site must be a scam. After wanting a powder blue tang for several years, my newly renovated reef tank was ready to "take one on". I have a 46 gallon "quarantine tank", and intended on letting it live there for at least 6 weeks, or until he died, whichever came first.
With the LFS in my area charging from $90-$120 for a powder blue, I was willing to "blow $50" and try one of the "cheap" power blues from you. I was hoping for the best, but expecting the worst, and was I ever surprised.
The shipping and packaging were 1st class, but I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my new fish for the first time. It was twice the size I thought it would be, and I never expected to get a "perfect" fish. No signs of stress, just a happy curious fish.
After drip acclimating it per your instructions, I am happy to report that my powder blue may be the only one in existence that has never developed one spot of ich. It is the perfect specimen, coming to the front of the tank when I go by, just to see what's going on. It wants to eat nothing but dried seaweed, and I'm happy to comply. As of today, I've had him in my small tank for over a month, and in another couple of weeks, he will be transferred to my main reef tank. I have absolutely no worries about him thriving in his new environment.
The purpose of this email is to let others know that SaltWaterFish.com isn't too good to be legit', but a fantastic way to enjoy the saltwater hobby for about half the price of your local fish store. The main man in my LFS was shocked when I told him about my experience with my powder blue. I don't think he ever heard of anyone not having to struggle keeping a powder blue from getting ich.
I finally realized that in order to get those "super sale prices" on livestock, I had to enter my email address, and now I check every day to see if another "sale email" was received.
I am old enough to know that just because my first purchase went so well, that there won't be any problems or glitches on future orders, but I have faith that you do "the very best you can" with every order, and that you'll do whatever is necessary to make the customer happy.
That's it, I don't want anything free, I have no problems, I'm just one "happy camper" now that I own a perfect powder blue tang from SaltWaterFish.com
