In order to provide them a natural habitat-like environment, the Pink Tube Anemone should be kept ideally in a reef aquarium that has a deep sand bed and plenty of live rocks. It should be initially placed on the sand substrate, where it will soon locate itself within the bottom of a rock crevice. Since the Pink Tube Anemone is not photosynthetic, it doesn?t really need any intense illumination; instead, it requires extra feeding supplements. Foods including small frozen foods having brine or mysis shrimp, chopped pieces of fish and zooplankton are also beneficial for their growth and health. Additional supplements of calcium, Iodine, and trace elements have been proved beneficial in their growth. The Pink Tube Anemone is aggressive towards other marine aquarium invertebrates, and unlike other anemones, the Pink Tube Anemone does not share any kind of symbiotic relationship with clownfish. It lives in its tube which is deeply and permanently buried under the sand or gravel and thus needs a thick sand bed. The Pink Tube Anemone is nocturnal in habit and generally feeds at night using its tentacles. It thrives well in the temperature range of 72-78 degree Fahrenheit, pH of 8.10 o 8.40, with moderate water flow. It is advisable to keep the Pink Tube Anemones away from each other if more than one is kept in the aquarium.
