The Bumble Bee Goby is a small, bottom dwelling fish that is distinguished by its solid unbroken black stripes and bright yellow body. It is best to keep a pair in a tank not less than 10 gallons, and thrives well in a temperature range of 73-85 degree Fahrenheit and pH of 7-8.5. The Bumble Bee Goby is considered a highly aggressive and territorial among its own species, and overstocking will result in tremendous amount of quarreling and possible injury issues. We suggest to keep a thick sand bed that is considered a proper substrate for bumblebee gobies, since it will allow them to move freely and burrow on occasion. The Bumble Bee Goby is an opportunistic style feeder and snaps at anything that might swim or float by. You'll normally find the Bumble Bee Goby hiding out in solitude or sitting patiently for food on the bottom. It loves to swim quite often and you'll be able to view it active both during the day and at night. Therefore, it is also known to ?buzz? from one surface to another inside the aquarium. The Bumble Bee Goby grows up to an average length of around 2 inches in the aquarium, and is well suited for a community style tank.
