The Pinktail Trigger has a beautiful emerald-green body with bright pink tail that makes it a captivating addition to any reef tank. It should be kept in a tank not less than 60 gallons or larger aquarium. The Pinktail Trigger also requires many live rocks and caves that provide a good environment to this beautiful fish. Though it eats some crustaceans and small fish present in the wild, it is considered reef safe but with caution. The Pinktail Trigger needs a varied diet that includes meaty foods that includes squid, krill, clams, small fish and hard shelled shrimp to help wear down their ever growing teeth. The Pinktail Trigger thrives well in a temperature range of 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit and pH of 8.1-8.4. It acts passive and makes a good choice for a beginner aquarist. It is advised not to keep the Pinktail Triggerfish with predatory fishes to maintain a peaceful tank, but even if the same is present, then be sure to provide it enough space and caves or rocks to hide. The Pinktail Trigger features strong teeth and jaws, and may chew through items in their aquariums. The Pinktail Triggerfish is one of the few Triggers that are a pleasure to keep. If more than one are to be kept in the same tank, it is best to add a male and up to several females at the same time.
