The Spotnape Cardinal is yet another rare species ORA has bred and introduced to our hobby. The Spotnape Cardinal is a highly social fish found in large schools above rocky, shallow lagoons from Japan to Australia. The Spotnape Cardinal gets its name from the dark spot just behind its eye, and are quite impressive to see in large schools especially when at their mature size of 4 inches. With a subtle silvery, rose gold coloration, the Spotnape Cardinal is not as brilliant as some of its relatives, but makes up for its looks with its personality and robust appetite. The Spotnape Cardinal should be offered pellets, frozen mysis and brine shrimp atleast once a day.
