Ant Insignis comes from a pristine uninhabited atoll near Pohnpei in the Caroline Islands. Ant Insignis is abundant on the leeward reef flats of the atoll down to about 10 ft in depth. Fragments are cultured in ocean cages at a depth of 10-20 feet in Pohnpeis protected lagoon. Ant Insignis in it's natural form and coloration is an intense green, but it should be noted that under artificial lighting it takes on different colors such as violet and red. These coral frags produced by ORA are well encrusted to the base on which they are grown. They are fully matured as individual coral colonies. Our corals are true hobbyist frags, designed to be grown-out in the home aquarium. ORA frags are truly aquacultured specimens, 6 or 7 generations removed from the original wild colonies.
