The Galaxea Coral Frag is a beautiful colored frag of LPS coral, which is known for its both appearance and relative hardiness. It can be found in varied colors that adds beautiful splash of hues into the saltwater aquarium. The Galaxea Coral is easy to care and that makes it a very good choice for a beginner aquarist. It is considered a hardy coral species because it requires only moderate lighting, medium water flow and twice a week supplemental feedings in order to thrive. The Galaxea Coral is highly aggressive due to presence of sweeper tentacles, which extends out upwards up to 4 inches during the night and might sting anything it touches, therefore it should be kept at a distance from neighboring corals to avoid any aggression. It should be placed in middle to high position on the reef, while in high lighting situations the Galaxea Coral should be place in middle to lower position on the reef. It feeds through the planktonic foods that are drifting in the current. The Galaxea Coral should be fed with meaty foods two to three times per week. It will accept a variety of planktonic coral foods, micro-invertebrate foods along with brine shrimp, mysis shrimp or similar meaty foods. The Galaxea Coral uses its tentacles to remove the food stuffs from the current and can be target fed using a feeding pipette. It also requires additional supplements in the form of calcium, strontium and trace elements in order to build its exoskeleton for the proper growth. The Galaxea Coral thrives well in a temperature range of 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit and pH of 8.0-8.4.

Received a 2.5" square frag, lots of heads! Nice fluorescent tips and lots of movement if placed in the right current.
