The Fancy Nassarius Snail is a beautiful addition to any aquarium. It belongs to the class known as Gastropoda, which makes up the largest class of Mollusks. The Fancy Nassarius Snail grows by increasing its swirling body while producing a protective shell. This shell gives protection to the Fancy Nassarius Snail?s soft body and also protects from predators. They have their foot that extends from the shell and allows them to drag their shell along. While moving, sometimes the Fancy Nassarius Snail?s eyes and mouth can also be seen coming out from the opening of the shell. This opening can also be protected by the operculum, which is a hard protective cover that acts like a door of the shell. The Fancy Nassarius Snail also makes a beautiful ornamental shell, as its shell is fancy and its exquisite design draws attention to your aquarium. The Fancy Nassarius Snail mainly prefers to live behind rocks and therefore, it is highly recommended to keep rocks in your fish tank. It helps in cleaning up the algae by feeding on live rock, and is very good at keeping your aquarium clean and clear. The Fancy Nassarius Snail sifts through the substrate that in live sand and looks for detritus, uneaten foods, fish waste, or dead and decaying organisms. Most of the time, the Fancy Nassarius Snail will be found submerged in the sand bed. It is around to ? inches, and is considered reef safe. It does not harm corals or other invertebrates, and are peace loving organisms. The nitrate levels have to be lower to help them survive in the tank. The Fancy Nassarius Snail can be identified pretty easily based on the color, shape, and pattern of their shell.

These snails are really cool looking and much larger than any other Nassarius snail I have ever purchased. One was DOA but Saltwaterfish credited me.
