Emerald crabs can clean their environment by taking off the algae from the tank. Emerald crabs have the habit of chasing other Emerald crabs from their spot. It is very important to feed the emerald crabs regularly as they might scavenge other small inhabitants otherwise. Emerald crabs also require large rocky structures to hide. They can be used to control bubble algae species which make t aquarium look dirty. Hence they help in cleaning the aquarium.
