The Turban Snail, also known as the Top Snail or Pyramid Snail. This snail is very hardy, and a great addition to clean up crews. The Turban snail will do well in an established aquarium, and aiding in the elimination of hair algae. Usually found in and around the reefs, the Turban snail should have plenty of rock work for feeding and hiding. The Turban Snail is sensitive to high nitrate levels, and will not tolerate copper based medications. In mature aquariums, the Turban snail has been known to reproduce. If the Turban snail does not have a sufficient amount of algae to graze on, their diet should be supplemented with dried seaweed.
