The Scooter Blenny is indigenous to the Pacific Ocean and is a small fish with a large head. It is a typical dragonet with top mounted eye and pointed petite mouth. The Scooter Blenny has a starry pattern of black and white blotches with bright blue spots on the head, which contributes to great camouflage. They are called scooter because of the way they swim. They appear as if they are scooting over the substrate of the aquarium. It is very easy to keep a Scooter Blenny if provided with the right environment and an adequate diet. The aquarium must have proper caves and hiding places, thereby the presence of live rocks and sandy substrates are indispensable in your fish tank. It is indigenous to the Pacific Ocean, from southern Japan to Marquesan Islands. The Scooter Blenny is a very peaceful fish and can be kept along with other tank inhabitants. It loves to sift through the sand in search of food and with its pointed mouth it can easily catch the micro fauna. The Scooter Blenny can either be kept singly or in groups. Usually males have a ?flag shaped? dorsal fin which they use to signal females and deter other males. The Scooter Blenny can grow up to 5 inches and can flourish in temperature with range of 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit. The Scooter Blenny needs a minimum 20 gallon of water for its proper survival and growth. They are great grazers and need to be fed multiple times in a day for their continued good health.

The Scooter Blenny is a small Dragonet fish that is marked in brown and white. Their colors and spots are used to camoflauge them as they scurry across sand beds looking for microfauna to feed on. They have large ventral fins which help them perch their bodies as they swim and glide along rockwork. These fish should be placed into established aquariums with Live Rock so there is sufficient microfauna to feed on. They are great for reef tanks. The Dragonet family of fish are small fish that are usually found hoping around reefs. These fish have small protruding mouths designed for capturing microfauna.
