The Green Mandarin Dragonet can never be compared to any other fish. The male and female Mandarin Dragonet are very sought after fish to house together. They have the most attractive and vivid coloration and pattern. The Male Mandarin Dragonet is easier to spot with his long spike-like dorsal fin. The Green Mandarin Dragonet features scaleless body in green with brilliant orange wavy lines across it. Not only this, its tail is bright red with blue edging. The Green Mandarin Dragonet is also known as Psychedelic fish due to its bizarre coloration. Although, more often it is named as Mandarin Goby, but they are not gobies, rather they belong to Dragonets family. The Green Mandarin Dragonet is found in groups or pairs, and mainly on sandy bottoms between reef crests, and is indigenous to Philippine area.
Absolutely delightful
This duo seem like a loving couple! They're together all the time or at least not far from each other no matter where they are in the tank. They seem happy in my 300g tank which is over 2 years old (with 400lbs of rock much older than that). If you do get Mandarin's, please make sure you have a well established tank! They will eventually starve to death. To SWF: THANK YOU for outstanding products and service!
