The Candy Stripe Cardinal survives best at a temperature range of 72-78. Its diet is mainly comprised of small crustaceans and fishes, and also accepts a wide variety of meaty food stuffs. The Candy Stripe Cardinal can also be fed with color enhancing foods such as spirulina which helps in maintaining its color. It mainly inhabits rocky or coral rich reefs and is found mostly in caves and crevices. We suggest you therefore to keep live rocks in your aquarium. The Candy Stripe Cardinal is silver in color and has four horizontal stripes running along its body with a small dark spot on the caudal peduncle. It is indigenous to Central Japan, Australia and Samoa. The Candy Stripe Cardinal is nocturnal and does most of their feeding at night time. The Candy Stripe Cardinal features mouth brooders, in which they incubate their eggs. They generally maintain a group and look amazing while swimming with mesmerizing colored body.

The Candy Stripe Cardinal is silver in color with several mauve colored horizontal stripes running along its body. The family of Cardinalfish are a group of relatively small fish that like to inhabit reef overhangs and crevices. These fish are nocturnal and do most of their feeding at nightime. They usually have large eyes, two separated dorsal fins, and short snouts. Cardinals are known for being mouth brooders where eggs are incubated inside the mouth of the fish.
